ABOUT DAVID MURRAY

I’m not a futurist or a commentator.I work inside the infrastructure layer where energy, land, capital, regulation, and compute have to align for anything real to happen.Over the past several years, as a General Partner and Chief Business Officer at Invictus Sovereign, I’ve been involved in assembling large-scale, energy-first development designed to support persistent, high-density compute. Not as an abstraction, but through master planning, capital structuring, partner and political alignment, team building, and site strategy where timelines and physics set the rules.That work surfaced a constraint that isn’t widely named yet.As compute becomes the driver of economic value, energy becomes the organizing bottleneck. Systems reorganize around bottlenecks—not by announcement, but by behavior. Capital moves. Infrastructure concentrates. Geography reasserts itself. Reliability gets priced.I call this reorganization The Energy Standard,not as advocacy or prediction, but as description. Markets, utilities, developers, and policymakers are already behaving as if it exists, whether they have language for it or not.My background spans media, technology, capital strategy, and infrastructure development. I’ve co-founded companies, raised capital, advised executives, and worked across public and private sectors. What ties it together isn’t industry, it’s execution under constraint.I’m often brought into complex environments to solve the seemingly unsolvable, and help translate ambition into systems that actually hold. If you’re allocating capital, shaping policy, or building infrastructure for the compute economy, you’re already inside this transition. My focus is helping organizations see it clearly and build accordingly.
