Course director for NE450 – Nuclear Weapons Effects, which is a senior-level requirement in an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science program providing a broad introduction to the design, effects, and policy of nuclear weapons. Educate, train, and inspire three sections of 20 cadets by developing the course outline, syllabus, reference materials, daily lesson plans, and presenting interactive instruction with additional instruction as needed. Conduct regular assessments of cadet performance by writing and evaluating all exams, problem sets, quizzes, and projects for the course. Assess cadet abilities to meet programmatic and institutional goals in written and oral communication, complex problem solving, and self-study by implementing key course requirements. Evaluate officer potential of selected cadets. Manage course gradebook, administrative requirements, and synchronize efforts of senior faculty members serving as course instructors when applicable. Serve as a mentor and role model of Army officership for future commissioned officers and leaders of character in the United States Army.
