David Maher, is a founder, fintech consolidator, CTO, and now CEO at Benzinga. He is a seasoned operator responsible for platform development and strategic planning of Benzinga\'s audience of retail investors. A computer engineer with 25 years of experience in the financial technology sector, Dave has a background in personalization, collaborative filtering, ML/AI, and managing large data-sets. A proven senior technologist, Dave has core human skills in leadership of teams, implementation at speed, and integrations into all aspects of the business.Dave is a graduate of Bucknell University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a field of concentration in Economics.Dave has been creating Internet applications since 1993, and created the CRAYON site, which was the first customized news service on the World Wide Web, voted \"Best of Net\" by PC World, Snap Online, BusinessWeek, and NetGuide. He has also authored AccessWatch, one of the most popular web traffic analysis software packages.Dave has also acted as a consultant for Firefly Network, Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, Deana Carter, Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Microsoft, Global One, Sprint, The WELL, and many more in the National Capital and Silicon Valley areas before starting the INO.com and MarketClub services. Dave was the CTO of the Magnifi GTM team at TIFIN, responsible for the systems and engagement building from startup to $3 billion in assets under management with integration of AI with traders and financial data. Outside of the financial sector, Dave enjoys being a youth leader, working with his local Community Foundation, participating in motorsports, and living on a farm with his family outside of Washington, DC.
