ABOUT DAVID KIMMER

I am a digital specialist and business owner with 25 years experience and passion as a born creative, self taught tall/full-stack developer and entrepreneur.After graduating in 1997 from Falmouth College of Arts with a degree in Graphic Information Design, I pursued a career in the creative industries and became heavily involved in multimedia and web development where I not only honed my design skills but taught myself a number of programming languages. This experience shaped me as a professional, giving me a unique and desirable blend of creative flair and technical know-how.In 2002 I took joint control of the agency I worked at before moving on to start my own agency at the start of 2004, subsequently renamed GroupBrand in 2009. Since then the business has been built from the ground up to become a £m+ company that today demonstrates a global portfolio across a diverse range of industry sectors, including banking, pharmaceuticals, software, technology and telecoms.In 2016, I successfully completed the sale of Groupbrand to become part of Loveurope and Partners (LEAP), the UK’s largest independent creative services agency, and remained fully engaged and immersed as a partner and Group MD of LEAP until my ultimate decision to exit in November 2021 after 18 successful years at the helm.Post-exit I took a short sabbatical from agency life to join SulNOx Group Plc as their Chief Brand Officer, as well as an existing and significant shareholder, to help raise brand awareness and increase and brand equity. An exciting Greentech company, SulNOx is a UK Public Limited Company trading on the pan-European Apex segment of the Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE) growth market and the US OTCQB Venture Market.In 2022 I decided to launch KIMCO as an entry back into the agency world after after my sabbatical, with a focus on building handcrafted web solutions across a full suite of technologies, frameworks, platforms and devices, an area that we found notoriously difficult to find and hire reliable and experienced talent during my tenure running GroupBrand/LEAP.The story continues.
