Supporting an exciting new Future Skills Programme based in HMP Oakwood designed to develop and equip individuals who have a focused employment and career aspiration for providing advice and guidance within a community setting. St Giles delivers Level 3 City and Guilds certificate in Advice and Guidance.St Giles passionately believe everybody is capable of changing their lives. The lived experiences that my clients have will be able to effectively connect with members of society that face struggles and challenges with addiction, poverty, criminal and sexual exploitation, gang involvement, abuse, mental health issues, crime and prison.The individuals I support are all nearing the end of their prison sentence and are focussed on securing employment upon release. My role is to help connect and develop rapport between the prospective employer and my clients seeking employment. Provide the reassurance and support network for employers to recruit and support participants through our lived experience toolkit, which includes risk assessments and exhaustive safer recruitment practices.
