Position Description:Design Leader / Sr. Product Design EngineerI am responsible for packaging and designing new and existing interior components, in line with planning, process, quality and cost targets. I produce complete engineering designs in CATIA V5 and NX. Create all the associated documentation. Responsible to work with OEM globaly for the initial design concepts, studio feasibility, packaging and craftsmanship. Generate designs conforming to tooling standards. Develop feasible designs, considering agreeded manufacturing processes. Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documents. For each assigned project, provide alternative design solutions accompanied by analysis, supporting information and recommendations. Insure the accuracy of internal and off shore Designers\' and Detailers\' work by giving them clear, complete technical direction and by verifying the output. Lead all design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) studies. Maintain strong familiarity with specific OEM customer CAD data integrity requirements and apply as required. Ensure that designs comply with government and customer specifications and regulations. Meet the timing plan and financial targets. Participate in Costomer and Internal and weekly design reviews.Specialties: Proven ability utilizing Catia V5 and NX in designing and packaging multiple interior trim components including: Instrument panels, Hard trim, Soft Trim, Consoles and Door trim panels. Well experienced with Injected Molding, Slush & Cast skin development, Leather Wrapping, Blow Molding and Metal Stampings.
