About Dave E.

I obtained my CompTIA Security+ certification and have announced to my current employer that I am actively seeking a career in Cyber Security. I\'ve enjoyed so many of the topics I\'ve been studying and am excited to join a company that is looking for someone with my experience in problem solving, mitigation, creativity, de-escalation, teamwork, and generally being willing to do things that others aren\'t willing to, while understanding that my experience in cyber security is still evolving. In 2021 I transitioned away from 25 years in retail management into an office environment where I have the opportunity to learn small business and entrepreneurship. I just finished a 10-month Cyber Security Bootcamp through NC State, recently completing courses in Infrastructure & Technology, Cloud Security, Linux Security, Network Security, Ethical Hacking, Microsoft Security, Computer Networking, Python, DFIR, and Game Theory. I find that this area of studies satisfies my love for problem solving in a category that seemingly has endless evolutionary potential.I am a creative and tireless problem solver. I remain composed while exploring and collaborating in search of answers to questions while selflessly helping others (even if they don\'t ask for it). I thrive on the quest for never-ending growth and my desire to bring the best out of those who desire support, direction, and recognition for their efforts. In the end, my hope is that those around me are a better version of themselves who also hunger for self-improvement while positively impacting people they come in contact with.
