I joined CBRE on a 12-month contract to build the company\'s Power Platform environment from the ground up. Being the only Power Platform Developer in the team this was an exciting challenge.Initial work was to implemented a Power App template alongside an Azure App so I can rollout a new solution with all standard functionality within 20 minutes of starting a new project.I spend some of my time sitting down with stakeholders and business users to discuss their needs. I take those ideas and turn them into clear requirements before I start building. I have also built some apps where requirements have been more fluid so I have been in regular contact with the business to make sure the project stays on track.My work is a mixture of consulting and hands-on development where I have built custom Canvas Apps for data collection and automated many manual processes with Power Automate, making sure the final product actually solves the original problems. Being the sole developer I handle the full lifecycle from that first meeting to the final rollout. My goal has always been to leave them with a suite of tools that make their daily work life much easier.
