Meister & Steiner PLLC is a two-partner technology, media, IP, and art transactions boutique in Manhattan. Each partner brings 27+ years’ experience and a deep specialization within that range: • Gabe Meister is a technology transactions lawyer with 27+ years in practice, including 16 as a partner in Morrison & Foerster’s Technology Transactions Group (New York and Tokyo) and senior in-house roles at the NBA (VP & Senior Media Counsel) and EPIX/MGM+(SVP, Business & Legal Affairs). Gabe focuses on outsourcing agreements, software and services, content licensing, media distribution and AI. • Alfred (Dave) Steiner is an IP, trademark, copyright, and art-law specialist with 27+ years in practice, including 15 at Morrison & Foerster and prior practice at Mauriel Kapouytian Woods and Baker Botts. Dave handles trademark prosecution and disputes, copyright matters, domain name issues, blockchain-related work, AI, and legal needs for the art world. Both partners are Harvard Law graduates and former Morrison & Foerster colleagues. The firm formed in fall 2021 to deliver Big-Law-quality work product without Big-Law fees or overhead. We work most often with: in-house counsel needing partner-level help on specific deals large or small; tech, media, and creative-economy companies that want strategic drafting and guidance; artists and galleries facing art law and more general questions; overflow tech transactions work for in-house legal groups; and other attorneys referring work outside their own practice.
