I currently serve as a Senior Editor on Outside Interactive’s content strategy team. Though that falls under advertising/marketing, I work between departments (including editorial, events, pre- and post-sales) to concept, develop, and execute customized content elements that range in format between digital, print, and video. The goal is to create engaging, story-first content that integrates into larger media buys from the worlds of lifestyle/apparel, nutrition/beverage, autos, outdoor hardgoods, retailers and tourism bureaus. After managing Outside’s content partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods for the launch of its new retail brand Public Lands, I’ve collaborated with numerous partners on original, interactive microsite experiences that blend brand messaging and reader service, including: Toyota, Lexus, Columbia, New Balance, Kellogg’s, Polaris, the State of Maine and Smartwool.
