ABOUT DAVE MOUTREY
Director and Chief Executive of HOME. This included leading the project to create the new purpose built venue that opened in April 2015. HOME is a production based multi-artform organization that previously traded as Cornerhouse and Library Theatre Company. From April 2018, this includes the additional role of Director of Culture for Manchester City Council which is a one day per week secondment. The HOME includes 5 cinema screens (making it the largest independent specialised cinema in the UK), education spaces, digital production and broadcast facilities, a 500 seat theatre, 160 seat flexible theatre, 500m2 gallery space, café bar, restaurant, offices and other ancillary spaces consistent with a production centre. It is a ‘making place’, providing new opportunities for artists and audiences to create work in a different way together, as well as a social and cultural hub. I joined Cornerhouse in 1998 after eight years as founding Director Arts About Manchester (now The Audience Agency) the regional arts marketing and audience development agency. Previously managed the Abraham Moss Centre Theatre in North Manchester. In February 2022 I was appointed as Chair of the Theatres Trust and holds a number of non-executive roles on not-for-profit boards.
