Dave is currently responsible for leading advancements and managing the Global Research & Development Systems at the Hill’s Pet Nutrition Science and Technology Center (a division of Colgate-Palmolive), with responsibility for maintaining the global security and integrity of all major research and product development systems, as well as overseeing the architecture and development of new and upgraded systems to conduct the Research and Development mission. Dave, his staff, and an array of global contractors maintain geographically dispersed technology including animal feeding systems, Lab Information Management Systems, SAP platforms for Product Lifecycle Management, Warehouse / Inventory / Supply Chain Management systems, Animal Health systems, Clinical Trial systems, and a robust Oracle & SAS based Datawarehouse / Business Intelligence environment for trend and predictive analysis, process optimization, data mining, and performance monitoring. Dave led the re-engineering of 8 disparate information systems into an integrated environment aligned with the various business processes and senior leadership goals – yet remaining flexible enough to react to changes in business process and goals. Dave was an instrumental part during the Colgate wide gap-analysis and deployment of a new SAP technology stack, Product Lifecycle Management – which is also integrated with the Hill’s non-SAP systems. Dave leads the development and deployment of a Business Intelligence environment providing management at all levels of the organization a clearer and timelier view into operating and performance trends – as well as providing reliable predictive analytic capability. Dave has also provided guidance in global deployment of these information systems to Hill’s facilities throughout the world.
