ABOUT DAVE HUMPHREYS
After 30+ years in the Automotive Industry I have progressed from the drawing board to Management. I’ve gained experience with a variety of engineering disciplines and have designed and released many components. Experiences with low volume, high volume, low cost, mid range, luxury and supercars. I’m able to work from Concept, through Sytling fease, Product Planning, Design, Project Control, DFMEA, APQP, DVP, Release, Launch & Production.(TIMS/AIMS) I am currently with LEVC as a Principal Engineer Interior Systems. This is a Management position and includes managing budgets, timing & headcount as well as design. At LEVC my role covers the entire Interior: Restraints, Airbags, Seating, Trim, Flooring, IP & Console. I deal directly with many suppliers.Despite my age I am very innovative and always open to new ways of working. When designing I research and consider the latest technology and methods. I enjoy mentoring and watching people progress. As a manager I trust my team to do the work they are employed to and facilitate rather than ‘boss’. I have lots of experience working with people from other cultures, especially India, China & Japan. I still enjoy travel.Outside of the office I endure the gym, follow Non League football and enjoy painting. When I have the time and money I restore Lambrettas & Vespas.
