ABOUT DAVE HAWKINS

David (Dave) Hawkins, PMP, AVS, CDT is a contract and team facilitator, a strong hub for all communication, and someone who will deliver quality in successful projects. Dave currently serves as the Project Control Manager for the Construction Management Consultant (CMC) team on Sound Transit\'s $3.9B East Link light rail program. The East Link Program includes three GC/CM, two Design Build, and three Design Bid Build projects. With 10 stations, 15 miles of light rail and a maintenance base the East Light Rail project is planned for opening in 2023. Prior to joining the Sound Transit East Link team Dave served as the Change and Risk Manager for the $4.2B SR 520 Program. At 520 Dave helped construction teams in delivering over $1.7B in road, pontoon and floating bridge, Design-Build projects. Dave has served as consultant with Construction Management firm and as Sound Transit’s lead for all project control oversight, systems, processes and initiatives. Dave has an MBA with a focus in cost and performance metrics. He is adept at delivering project control programs and initiatives. Dave is a former instructor at the UW in planning, cost estimating, risk and scheduling. He is a trained facilitator and group trainer. Dave specializes in projects that require a blend of technical, risk and change management skills. His expertise includes CPM scheduling, risk assessment, cost and resource management, project and construction management, contract administration, strategy articulation, process redesign and change management. Dave is well versed in a number of scheduling programs including: Primavera’s P3e, P5, P6, SureTrak, Microsoft Project, Sciforma PS8, and Timberline Scheduler. He has more than 20 years of experience in cost and performance controls in the fields of construction, design, and information technology.Specialties: Project Delivery, Scheduling, Project Control, Risk, Document Control and Change Management
