ABOUT DAVE HART

I am a dynamic, motivated Platform Engineer with a broad range of hands on skills and architectural capabilities. I presently hold certification as an AWS solution Architect Professional, AWS Security - Specialty, AWS Developer Associate, Certified Kubernetes administrator and Certified Hashicorp Terraform associate. My areas of expertise resolve around private, public and hybrid cloud deployments. I am comfortable working in both the Windows and Linux space. I have the ability to absorb new technologies quickly and have superb troubleshooting skills which are regularly called upon.I enjoy mentoring others and leading by example. I hosted a certification programme to aid colleagues in obtaining industry recognised certifications (Terraform) with my previous employer.Recent engagements include the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure for the banking sector including underlying core infrastructure. The deployment involves a number of AWS accounts across multiple streams of work, some isolated and some with direct connect links back to the client on-premise data centers. I have recently been involved in developing a number of automation pipelines to streamline repeatable processes utilising both Jenkins and gocd pipelines, bitbucket and github as code repos and nexus for rpms. This has required extensive bash, powershell and python coding. Previous to this engagement I was heavily involved in a private cloud deployment centered around Microsoft Azure pack and also with a customers infrastructure extension into Microsoft Azure.Having been in IT for over 20 years I have seen a lot of changes and have the ability to understand how technologies work together. Most of these skills were developed in the days before the Internet when we had to think for ourselves. I am currently involved in the design and implementation of complex IT solutions involving varying technologies.A few key points about me- I keep calm- I get involved where others would step away- I work well with others- I am passionate about what I deliver- If I don’t know I will tell you such and I will find out- I will probably script it
