Recently was thinking to myself how the use of card payments has changed,so much over the years, 44 years ago when I left school, I worked in retail and back then retailers were taking card payments only occasionally, only credit cards as that must’ve been about 10 years before debit cards, all card transactions processed through imprint machines and paper slips, I remember the carbons More recently moving forward to 2018, following a chance meeting I soon started working in merchant servicesNow as we look forward to 2026, I’m helping businesses receive their money in seconds, a simple application and by modern technology a payment can be taken by the merchant immediately via a QR code or pay by linkplus obviously through the terminal as soon as it arrives a few days later, or through the customers myPOS app, the Ultra terminal even texts or emails the receipt and if the merchant wants to the payment request (pay by link or QR code) what’s next is what I am now wondering.
