Responsible for driving forward a suite of important reforms to ensure skills delivery in Northern Ireland remains fit for purpose and aligned with key policies – and that skills delivery is effectively coordinated across tertiary education institutions- Leading work to deliver a more strategic and joined up approach to 14-19 education and training (as part of a joint Dept for Economy / Dept of Education initiative) to ensure all young people can fulfill their potential- Delivery of a programme of work on vocational qualification reform in Northern Ireland, including vocational higher education qualifications such as Foundation Degrees, HNCs and HNDs- Developing policy on widening participation in higher education to ensure that people can access higher education no matter what their background- Facilitating the Tertiary Education Senior Leaders Forum – a group of system leaders who oversee a programme of work to drive collaboration and joined up work across the tertiary education sector.
