ABOUT DAVE EVANS-TURNER
David has recently joined Blue Mechanical Services from Mace Group where he worked on major projects such as the Shard of Glass at London Bridge, Doric Villa at Regents Park and Whiteley Village at Walton-on –Thames.David served his apprenticeship with Drake and Scull as a Pipe-Fitter and Welder (gas and MMA) where he was awarded the National and Regional Award for being “Apprentice of the Year” in 1991.After leaving Drake and Scull David worked for a sub-contractor in Brighton called Mold Services; where he was awarded “The Employee of The Year Award” in 1996. He rose to the position of Project Manager in a relatively short space of time and repeat contracts were awarded to the company by East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council due to David’s involvement and pro-active involvement with the clients.After leaving Mold Services David set up his own business and carried out works for major clients, such as Brighton and Hove Council, De Vere Hotels and Interserve. During this time David carried out major surveying works for the Ministry Of Defence in the South East region (Kent and The Home Counties) where David advised on a £30 Million planned maintenance regime. He subsequently became a Project Manager for Vital Energies Utilities working on District Heating design, installation and green energies; including Bio-Gas, Bio-Mass, Combined Heat and Power and Solar Thermal at various projects in London, south east and Devon.Due to David’s design experience and “hands on” work ethos he was subsequently asked to join Mace’s subsidiary company Como Homes in 2006.David has worked on many fast track contracts and is committed to his work force producing quality work, on program, in budget and snag free.Specialties: David has a vast knowledge of all mechanical installations including Natural Gas, Oil, Chilled Water, Steam and Condense, heating installations including Medium and High temperature, Hot water services, Cold water services. In particular, the installation of air handling plant, green energies and boiler plant installations are a specialty.
