Clergy leadership is much more than standing up and leading a worship service once a week. The diversity of responsibilities & challenges that are an element of my ministry constantly provide an opportunity to make a difference throughout southern New Jersey both individually & as a leader. I am a \"street\" pastor with a long history of urban involvement.Situated on the outskirts of Camden NJ has positioned St Paul\'s to be a partner for change & hope for that impoverished city\'s residents. I have grown programs for the homeless, families in poverty. and the addicted.I previously pastored one of the United Methodist Church\'s (UMC) vital congregations where attendance continued to grow counter to the realities in most mainline churches. Pastoral leadership inspired increased congregational financial donations leading to 13 years of positive budget revenues providing the funding of new missional initiatives.One of my primary responsibilities has been the identification & development of volunteer leaders. These leaders have taken on new missional & church roles both within their churches and beyond the church walls. I have led mission teams working regionally, nationally, & globally!Under my leadership, the church developed one of the largest UMC youth programs in NJ & I identified & trained a full volunteer youth leadership team. In addition to serving that church, I was responsible for overseeing the youth programs of an additional 65 New Jersey churches.As a clergy leader, I serve, have served on and led numerous church-based conference, regional, and local ministry focused boards and teams. I also participate in and have led interfaith coalitions.
