About Dave Decker
I am the owner and principal of Southwest Geophysical Consulting, LLC, a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in Karst Surveys for Environmental Assessments. Ground Penetrating Radar, Electrical Resistivity Imaging, 3D LIDAR Mapping, and Infrared Landscape and Structure Imaging. I earned my PhD in Geology at the University of New Mexico, Earth and Planetary Sciences Department where I primarily focused on geochemistry and karst hydrology using radiogenic and stable isotopes to characterize mineral samples deposited from geothermal waters in the Guadalupe Mountains, southeastern New Mexico and west Texas and link their formation to landscape evolution. I earned my MSc in Applied Physics at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California where I focused on the physics of sensor systems. I am a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) and licensed Professional Geologist (PG). My other interests include speleogenesis, volcanology, vulcanospeleology (yes, it\'s spelled correctly: arenology and sedimentology.
