   Develops customized sales and marketing plans for the hotel. This position leads the implementation of the plans for the property. The plans are based on Owner-approved policies and strategies, particularly aspects of the market and demand segments. I assure that marketing and sales plans are appropriate for each sales period, including special plans to maximize room revenue during forecasted low occupancy periods. I develop and implement advertising, public relations, and promotional programs.It is vital that I know key accounts and actively sell through personal visits and regular contact with these accounts and their decision-makers. I understand the local hotel market - strengths and weaknesses of the competition. I use this knowledge when presenting information to decision-makers.I am familiar with the successful practices of competitors and recommend strategies or sales tactics designed to grow revenue and manage expenses. I identify and actively solicit new accounts for the hotel. I ensure effective and on-going Hit List pursuit strategies are in place. I document all sales calls and other sales activities using our sales data base system. This includes Market Planner, Market Segment Activity planner, Weekly Sales report, Web-sites etc. We market opportunities on our property’s web site and on electronic distribution channels and internet travel sites. I actively lead all hotel sales and marketing activities. I ensure that all sales information is communicated to all departments.
