ABOUT DAVE B.
A multi-skilled, highly motivated, Chartered Engineer and adept Senior Manager with Project Management, Safety Engineering, Nuclear Safety and Commercial skills. I have enjoyed a successful 32 year career as a Royal Navy Submarine Weapon Engineer Progressing through the ranks and levels of responsibilities from Artificer Apprentice to Lieutenant Commander and Head of Department on a Nuclear Submarine. As well as a technical manager\'s post in industry (Principal Consultant with SEA). I have proven my adaptability, capability and transferable skills outside of the submarine weapons envelope and have set up my own company specialising in Project Management and Maritime Safety Consultancy. A successful 3 year role as Fire Safety Manager allowed me to demonstrate my technical and management prowess within the HMS Queen Elizabeth team. During this tasking, I was instrumental in applying public policy to establish fire safety across the full spectrum of Marine Engineering, aircraft engineering and command systems. In BAE Systems I led a team for three years developing functional safety on In Service submarines. For the past three years I have been with Jacobs working within Babcock. Initially heading up the Nuclear Safety (modifications) team for 15 Dock then as Delivery Manager for Floodwall and Roadway packages. In the latter role I have successfully delivered with minimal time in role. In Jan 25 I started a new role within Mott Macdonald as Control Account Manager for two 14 Dock packages within the Submarine Refit Complex Devonport.
