About Leo Brukman

Oracle, SQL Server, DB2/UDB, Teradata, MySQL, Snowflake, Redshift, and MongoDB, I worked with all of them and more, at one enterprise, one gig, or another; all while analyzing users\' stories, writing SQL, Python, TSQL, PL/SQL scripts, creating data models, SSIS packages, Data Governance policies, data lineage diagrams, data flow charts, test plans, interfaces, you name it, I did it; at the same time always ensuring that my employer or client had the best solutions, best programs, best integrations, best documentation, best processes. Being a hands-on developer, engineer, and architect did not preclude me from being a leader, mentor, or manager, organizing new teams, and hiring and training people for those teams.

I am working on strategic projects, improving data architecture and agile application development processes with multiple SOA and microservices frameworks, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure, MongoDB, Informatica, and Dataedo Data Catalog. My employer, CSC® is the world\'s leading provider of business, legal, tax, and digital brand services to companies around the globe. My current focus is being a Test Data Management (TDM) Architect and a team lead on the multi-year program aimed at establishing the framework, processes, and policies to support contractually required customers’ data security. This involves doing the following:1) Mentor, help, and guide other project team members.2) Interact with the product owners, internal business partners, application developers, and DBA to understand the use of the data elements and the constraints on the potential data masking.3) Analyze the data and its sensitivity and propose masking approaches.4) Select and present the best masking rules for each sensitive data attribute.5) Provide architectural guidance to Informatica TDM developers and help troubleshoot the process.6) Provide architectural guidance for regression testing of applications with the secured data.7) Process improvement recommendations8) Research and high-level design for using ML, DL, and AI in data sensitivity and data domain determination.9) Provide Project Managers with the technical input and guidance to improve their planning and reporting. While doing the work, I proposed and implemented multiple efficiency improvements, cutting delivery times by 30%. At the same time, I designed and developed a new custom reporting framework for the Dataedo Data Catalog using Microsoft Powerquery and M language. I created training documentation and conducted training sessions for the reporting framework.
