I have 20 years of experience working with data, big and small and everything in-between.Though I spent the first 10 years working primarily with SQL, in the subsequent 10 years I have become comfortable with Python, C#, Java, and Scala; I have built data products on top of specialized data appliances, written map reduce jobs to process hundreds of billions of events, managed fleets of NoSQL instances and clusters of microservices, hacked together numerous tiny solutions to unblock the business, and designed domain specific languages to allow subject matter experts to interact directly with the systems they care about.I have spent the bulk of my career designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical data products for high complexity domains, from systems that measure medical quality of care in real time for the largest free electronic health record system, to the royalty calculation infrastructure for the world\'s largest audio streaming platform.
