About Gurpreet Singh

I’m an engineering leader with 20+ years of experience building teams and platforms at the intersection of data, cloud, and AI. I began my career in consulting, solving complex cloud and data challenges across industries such as FinTech and supply chain. That experience shaped how I approach systems today—thinking end-to-end and making deliberate tradeoffs across scale, risk, and cost. Over the past decade, I’ve led product engineering teams through full lifecycle delivery. In the last five years, my focus has been bringing AI and machine learning into regulated enterprise environments, with an emphasis on building systems that are trustworthy, observable, and compliant. Today, as a Principal Engineering Manager, I design and deliver hybrid, agentic AI platforms—orchestrating multi-step workflows that combine generative and predictive models on top of cloud-native data foundations. My work includes making explicit infrastructure and inference tradeoffs, such as when smaller, specialized models outperform larger ones, and when self-hosting is the right strategic choice. I’ve also scaled engineering organizations by hiring and mentoring senior talent, developing engineering managers, and aligning teams around clear technical vision, disciplined execution, and long-term platform strategy.

Agent 365 gives each AI agent its own Microsoft Entra Agent ID, for identity, lifecycle, and access management. It also allows agents to be observable and managed in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
