ABOUT DAVID SUMMERS
I have a long and close association with UK education, training and skills policy, from policy responsibilities within central Government Departments (ED and DfEE) and Executive Agencies (Employment Service/JobCentre Plus and the Learning & Skills Council) to latterly working since 2005 with a wide range of public and private sector employers whilst working for two Sector Skills Councils. I am passionate about helping young people discover the myriad of opportunities open to them in the world of work and further/higher education and training, whether that is by undertaking a specific qualification, work experience or receiving excellent Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). My specialisms are working with employers of all sizes to promote entry to their industries and securing their buy in to qualification development. I am also a huge supporter of the UK\'s FE and HE institutions and their ability to attract students from around the world.
