ABOUT DASHAI THOMPSON

Dashai Thompson, a proud native of Northern Kentucky and mother of two boys, is deeply committed to fostering spaces that prioritize authenticity and inclusivity. Her passion for connecting with others has been instrumental in her personal growth and professional endeavors. Engaged in various cultural diversity initiatives locally and statewide, Dashai currently serves as the Vice President of Boone County\'s NAACP chapter. With over 15 years of dedicated volunteer work, Dashai contributes to building a more inclusive workforce and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. As a Community Collaborative Impact Partner (CCIP), she collaborates with diverse stakeholders to address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, aiming for sustainable development and community well-being. Putting the community first, Dashai is committed to positively impacting lives daily and advocating for inclusivity and diverse perspectives as a community leader and social justice activist. She promotes cultural awareness through historical education and continually seeks ways to make a difference. A graduate of Indiana Technical College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in criminology, Dashai plans to pursue a master\'s degree in the mental health field. Her goal is to advocate for the importance of Multicultural Competencies and Social Justice Counseling in mental health, benefiting both professionals and individuals facing mental health challenges. Currently serving as the program Inclusion Specialist (DEI) and Talent Strategies at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Dashai remains dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and driving positive change in her community.
