   As a Research Consultant, I use the WorldQuant BRAIN® platform to generate alphas and other algorithms in quantitative finance. I collaborate and compete against other consultants in the platform as we work to make new discoveries and contribute to the larger WorldQuant effort. Alphas are mathematical models that seek to predict the future price movements of various financial instruments. I also use the simulation platform to learn about the intriguing world of quantitative finance in an interactive way by using data sets and tools, performance dashboards and value-add measures provided in the platform.
