ABOUT DAS PAUL JOSEPH

As a Cyber Defense Specialist at SAP, I lead the attack scope and root cause analysis and develop attack remediation strategies for the APJ region. I work with the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team to track and hunt various nation-state APT actors, using tools such as Retro Hunting Indicators and Virus Total Hunting. I also design, configure, test, and deploy security solutions within SAP application architecture, working directly with clients and internal stakeholders to guide complex projects and deliver innovative outcomes.I have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Technology from Karunya University and hold CISSP and GCTI certifications. I have over six years of experience in network security, network administration, and VPN, with a focus on IDS, SIEM, DLP, and firewall installation. I have successfully set up and managed the Security Operations Center (SOC) at SAP Ariba, and integrated all the critical log sources, network devices, and custom applications with SIEM across all data centers. I have also provided leadership and mentorship to junior security analysts and client personnel, and ensured the timely and effective triage and escalation of security incidents. I am passionate about improving the cyber resilience and security posture of SAP and its clients, and I constantly seek to learn new skills and technologies to enhance my capabilities and performance.
