Software and Systems Architecture: From concept to field deployment, I have defined the vision, captured the requirements, and coached the developers on delivery of those requirements. Architected various solutions with distributed databases and geographically diverse nodes on a fault tolerant private network. Technical Leadership and Team Building: Starting with a team of one, I have established successful development teams with diverse development skill sets. Recruited, established workflows and defined delivery gates. Drove quality of the solution with test driven development, design reviews and by giving developers a vision for the long game. Development Environments and Deployments: Skilled systems administrator in Linux with solid networking knowledge. Experienced with virtual machines and docker based deployment technologies. Code Development: Proficient in Python, including NumPy and SciPy. Seasoned Matlab programmer, particularly with classes in Matlab and DSP toolboxes. Have also coded significant projects in several other languages including C, VB, Java and Modula II. Algorithm Design: Designed and modeled optimization algorithms in 3D space for improved indoor positioning as well as power management algorithms in cellular systems. Proposed methods for optimizing cellular system performance using handset data. Deep Hardware and RF background: Design experience with RF, digital and mixed signal. Specified and led development of a full base station implementation. Developed RF calibration systems for modems, BTS and DAS.
