About Daryl Heinz

Daryl Heinz served as a research mathematician in Machine Learning for the NSA before becoming the head of training for two open-source component, digital transformation companies. Both companies have been acquired (JBoss, Spring). In 2009, Daryl created DFHEINZ, LLC (DFHz), a U.S-based, machine learning and data infrastructure integration consultancy. As a data transformation consultancy, DFHz provides both services and products focused specifically to help clients receive the maximum benefit and revenue from their data. With his organization, Mr. Heinz helps companies update, migrate and integrate legacy data systems into future-embracing data capabilities. DFHz can help companies adopt revenue-enhancing best data practices, to achieve efficient use of their data products. Daryl Heinz has coached dozens of CTOs toward an understanding of how to use a component-oriented approach to achieve peak revenue and benefit from highly performant, open-source based data planes. DFHz designs, develops and deploys docker/kubernetes-based edge and center computing data planes using state-of-the-art open-source, cost-free, license-free software components. The rapid software development methodologies created, used and shared by DFHz have allowed DFHz clients to enjoy the benefit of a shortened time to market (TTM). A reduced TTM of a custom data plane implementation often results in a “first to market” positioning and a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and, therefore, a significant competitive advantage. In his presentation for Enterprise Data World, Daryl shows how to automate all aspects of a unified, sustainable Data Governance platform using only open source and harvested SME components. Mr. Heinz has launched a non-profit Veterans in Artificial Intelligence (VIAI) free program for veterans and disabled first responders, who, with little college education, can become python developers with a focus on open-source unsupervised and supervised machine learning components and libraries.
