About Darwin Ferrufino

I’m driven by the idea that numbers tell a story—and I want to help businesses understand and act on theirs. I’m a first-generation Latino student at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, studying Finance and Information Systems. I’m passionate about financial strategy, personal growth, and using discipline and leadership to create meaningful impact. This summer, I’ll be joining KPMG as an Incoming Embark Scholar, where I’m excited to build a strong foundation in consulting and business problem-solving. On campus, I serve as Vice President of Finance for ALPFA UMD, where I help manage financial operations and support initiatives that empower the Latino business community. I’m also Vice President of Inclusion for the Smith Undergraduate Student Association and a member of Snider Consulting Group, where I collaborate with peers on real-world consulting projects. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong interest in consulting and business analysis, especially where data, strategy, and teamwork come together to solve complex problems. I’m currently seeking opportunities where I can continue building these skills and make a meaningful impact.
