NewDay is a leading UK consumer credit provider, innovating in the fintech space to offer responsible access to credit through a highly scalable digital platform and proprietary credit decisioning capabilities.Key Responsibilities- Drive and embed secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices across development teams, promoting a security-by-design culture for critical financial applications- Conduct comprehensive application security assessments, including static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), and software composition analysis (SCA) to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities (e.g, OWASP Top 10)- Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for new and existing applications, focusing on web applications, APIs, and cloud-native platforms (AWS/Azure)- Collaborate closely with Agile/DevOps teams to integrate DevSecOps tooling and automate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous security assurance- Lead and participate in penetration testing exercises and coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts with development and product teams- Provide expert guidance and training on secure coding practices, identity and access management (IAM) principles (OIDC, OAuth), and security best practices to engineers- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, proactively implementing measures to enhance the overall security posture of NewDay\'s financial products- Utilize and recommend various security tools and technologies to enhance security efficacy and efficiency.
