The setup verifies motor efficiency, losses, insulation integrity, and thermal limits without physical load machines, supporting R&D, quality checks, and standards compliance like IEC 60034. An inverter supplies rated frequency to the stator and a lower frequency to induce rotor currents matching full-load slip, replicating realistic losses and heating while minimizing supply power.
