During my Internship, I had the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of Glamoraa, a comprehensive salon management ERP system. My work involved building features that simplified appointment scheduling, staff management, inventory control, and billing—essentially, helping salons run more smoothly. In the absence of a formal leader, I stepped up and took on a leadership role, acting as the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) between the interns and the CEO. This gave me a chance to not only develop my technical skills but also to grow in communication, problem-solving, and team management.Key Contributions:Technical Development:Worked on features like appointment booking, staff management, and inventory control, using ASP.NET API and SQL Server.Integrated payment gateways to ensure smooth and secure transactions.Developed role-based access control to allow different users to interact with the system as needed.Built reporting modules helping the salon owners make informed decisions.Leadership & Communication:Took charge when there was no formal leadership, ensuring the team remained aligned and focused.Acted as the SPOC between the interns and the CEO, regularly checking in on progress and relaying important information to keep the project on track.Organized team meetings and helped resolve challenges, keeping everyone motivated and moving forward.Collaboration & Development:Assisted with API development for essential features like user registration and appointments.Helped maintain database integrity, ensuring everything from customer data to appointment details was accurate and accessible.This internship was a fantastic mix of technical development and leadership experience. It not only helped me grow my backend and frontend skills but also gave me the chance to take on real-world responsibilities, coordinate with senior leadership, and help guide the team toward a successful project completion.
