ABOUT DARRYL KNUDSEN
I create enduring change toward healing and justice for the underrepresented and disenfranchised. I welcome conversations with like-minded individuals at all career stages.I am transitioning from a global policy career to become a licensed psychotherapist working in community mental health and specializing in complex trauma.I feel called to partner with those who want healing and wholeness so they can show up for this fractured world with heart, resilience, and joy. I have come to believe that our global community’s existential challenges demand no less of us. When broken people lead, we get broken results. In my next chapter, I will work with those who have experienced vicarious trauma from tackling Sisyphean issues like climate change, human rights abuses, and economic oppression. I will work directly with people in my local communities traumatized by systems of injustice. I will work with beneficiaries of privilege, who wrestle with how to integrate being just, courageous, joyful, wise, and kind.I will work with people struggling in relationships, people struggling with anxiety and depression, and people who struggle to access or to regulate their emotions. I will work with people who fear death; people who struggle with loneliness; people who want more freedom (or are made anxious by the freedom they have); and people who want to live a life of meaning. I will work with people who want to become the best version of themselves. For over twenty years, I worked on impact at scale to improve human rights and environmental sustainability in global trade and financial systems. I continue to consult and advise in this area.Multi-lingual with on-the-ground experience in 20+ countries, including throughout Central America and in Germany, India, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. Board Member.
