ABOUT DARRYL JERNIGAN

With 10 years experience, I am a seasoned commercial underwriter with a thorough understanding in the areas of workers’ compensation, property, casualty, commercial auto, middle market risks and umbrellas. My expertise in reviewing complex commercial documents includes iso forms, additional inured contracts. Additionally, I was the lead underwriter in creating and developing a limousine program within 3 years. In implementing and administering this program, I directed a team of three underwriters and an associate underwriter. As the lead auditor for a Mexican border entry trucking program. I managed a team of underwriters responsible for auditing pricing and adherence to underwriting guidelines. As a senior Underwriter for a Hotel/Motel program. I supervised and helped train 5 underwriters. I was responsible for overseeing the underwriting and pricing of the newly introduced progra. I have extensive experience in quality control, underwriting best practices, and compliance issues related to continuous improvement in insurance operations for both internal and external clients. By attending Toast Masters meetings & and taking insurance courses, I maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem resolution abilities, and a high level of confidentiality.
