Strategic Skills – Identified underlying systemic issues and their operational implications in the management of IT Service Delivery teams, infrastructure and operational teams, to deliver business value to the organisations I have worked for. I have implemented a range of technologies and can manage complex, technical and innovative technical solutions. Business Communications Skills – I can communicate with a range of managers and customers at all levels of the business. I have written a wide range of documents. I have conducted presentations at a range of levels and presented at the ITSMf conference recently. Service Delivery framework and Relationship Management – Successfully developed and managed primary relationships with business owners, stakeholders and interested parties. Implemented or improved ITIL based processes, specifically around Service Operations, and the Service Desk function in a range of organisations, providing positive outcomes increasing TCO and Business value. Technical Skills and knowledge – I have had an interest in technology since 1984, and have worked in the infrastructure and operations teams providing virtual and physical servers. SAN services, Citrix and networking, telephony and infrastructure services to a large educational institute. As manager of this team we implemented a range of technologies to add value to the business and IT which included Lync/Skype for Business, SIP, VM infrastructure, upgraded network switches, firewalls and proxies, SCCM SCOM and Federated AD, as well as client device hardware, and mobile devices. Team Leadership – I have built several successful high performing team in the operations arena specifically working within the Service Desk and Operations and Infrastructure areas. I have been responsible for all HR aspects for the team and have worked to develop professional Performance plans and performance improvement with individuals when required.
