Over his 13 years at Marriott’s global HQ, Darryl was a business adviser, labor and employment attorney, primary immigration counsel and lead employment counsel for Marriott’s Caribbean-Latin America business unit with employees in ~25 countries, and a board member of the Marriott Employee Federal Credit Union. Darryl started his legal career at Venable, an AmLaw 100 law firm, where he spent 6 years as a L&E lawyer working with General Counsel and CHROs of businesses across diverse sectors on employment and civil rights matters. He also handled commercial litigation matters.Throughout his career, Darryl has been dedicated to plain English legal advice. He takes a big picture view how L&E can advance overall corporate vision, mission, values, and initiatives, as well as enhance diversity and inclusion efforts, routine business operations, worker safety, and employee satisfaction.
