As a community-led organization, we rely on the guidance of our neighbors to help us deliver on our mission to support strong children, strong families, and strong communities in the District of Columbia.Partners with Deputy Chief of Programs and other executive leaders to establish departmental priorities, including strategies to accomplish the vision. Leads the design and launch of new programs in line with the economic mobility areas of our Strategic Plan. Manages the economic mobility program portfolio for the organization, including day-to-day activities, program evaluation, services, partnerships, research, and specialized program areas. Analyzes and assesses programs based on data collected and implements corrective measures, if needed. Collaborates with the Deputy Chief of Programs to establish annual program goals and ensures the delivery of qualitative and quantitative goals and outcomes of programs and services. Prepares and conducts on-going management of the yearly programmatic budget. Coordinates with the finance department to monitor programmatic operations for sound fiscal management. Implements career pathways programs with academic and technical partners, provides oversight and management of operations.Co-designs career pathways, which includes sophisticated labor market analyses and reviews of existing academic/technical programs. Co-design includes several major components: identifying and/or establishing curriculum (work based and contextualized learning) that is aligned with industry credentials in high-demand, high-wage fields in the market and creating seamless pathways for on-ramps (from secondary schools) and off-ramps (to degree granting programs). Utilizes program data, evaluation reports and feedback loops to assess programs for potential changes to enhance quality of programming.
