A senior DevOps engineer, working on transforming an existing on-premise environment to Azure cloud. This involves designing and implementing proper CI/CD practices while building out the infrastructure that supports our AI platform.\\\\n\\\\nThe DevOps team is placed in a critical position for layer6. At layer6, machine learning scientists develop the models for many different applications, while the DevOps team provides the infrastructure for these models to be run in a secure and highly available environment. We constantly evolve our infrastructure to be easy to use for those not familiar with engineering practices, so the development time on cloud continues to become shorter. In my time at layer6 I have lead the initative to reduce our cloud operating costs, and I have been able to implement a 30% decrease in cloud costs across the entire layer6 organization. During this time we have also nearly doubled the number of applications being developed and run on the cloud. Even with the increased usage we still had the 30% decrease in total costs.\\\\n\\\\nThe key components I work on are: kubernetes, helm, skaffold, Jenkins, and Azure.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
