ABOUT DARREN TOUGH

I have achieved my NVQ level 6 in Construction Site Management.I am currently employed with Solar South West on a 9MW Solar farm in Romsey as a Construction Site Manager.Also having worked with Base Build Services Ltd on the £3.3m yard extension works at Amazon BRS2 in Swindon and most recently employed as a Site Manager for Grandeur Group,DRG,DNA-IC, Halsall, Midas,Willmott Dixon,Dribuild.I have been in the Construction Industry since leaving school in June 1983.I did a 3 year Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeship where I studied at Salisbury Tech College. After my Apprenticeship finished I went Self Employed and worked for a couple of local builders in the Andover area, in 1986 I started working for T J Lowery a Carpentry Sub contractor in Basingstoke where I worked on various varying projects inc new builds and refurbishments. In 1992 I was made a Site Foreman running my own jobs with up to 28 men under my control. In 2012 after 25 years I decided to leave and take a more managerial position with a private developer. I then started working for Reflect Contractors as a Construction Foreman.I worked for Operis Construction on Heckfield place a 5* hotel complex as a Carpentry & Joinery Package manager, I have worked for Rydon Construction as a Site Manger / Internals Finishing Manger on an Aspire project in Warminster.I worked as a Fit out Site Manager for Rox Interiors on the Great Western Outlet Centre in Swindon. Managing the fit out of 70 new retail units. I worked for Tolent Construction as a Internals Site Manager on 92 David Wilson High End Residential Apartments. I worked for Stepnell as an Internals Site Manager on a 120 bedroom Care Home for OSJ including Nursing and Dementia wings.
