Promoted to run the wider Automation Team. As a part of the new structure the maintenance team, Automation build engineers and build technicians all report to me. I also have the AME and process engineers indirectly reporting to me as well. The role involves making sure that production is kept running with minimum stoppages and low scrap rate. I actively manage the maintenance team by managing PPM schedules and breaks down using our CMM system. Creating reports of breakdowns, types of stoppages and suggesting improvements. I also control all new projects for the shop floor, this involves scheduling builds, prioritizing work, liaising with the main stake holders. Creating new processes and training while also improving the current processes we have. I still actively build new equipment and machinery when required. This involves all the skills I have listed before such as system design, writing software (PLC, motion, robotics, Safety, HMI etc.) creating Technical construction files for CE marking. I will follow the machine from cradle to grave. I also manage a small team of build technicians and wireman to help with this.The roles now helps me manage the expectation of the shop floor and make sure as a company we are producing motors to the standard Mercedes Benze requires.

Proven engineering knowledge in design, construction and installation of electrical control systems on fully automated systems for the medical and automotive industry. Competent in various formats of programming software, including PLC, SAFETY, HMI, SCADA, motion and vision inspection. CMSE certified with the ability to create full technical files to current government laws and regulations. I am also able to run entire life cycle of systems including Project planning, design, construction, validation and into production. Experience of managing smaller teams of 5 to 15 people to deliver projects. Also been lucky enough to manage larger installations of manufacturing facilities such as production shop floors and clean rooms.
