I am often asked about, and will always defend the college degree and the fact that it is a worthwhile investment. That said, it is expensive and needs to be well thought out. Families need information and guidance. School counselors are fantastic, yet wear so many hats. It would be unrealistic to expect them to also assist families in minimizing the college costs and navigating the entire financial aid course.
