Product Principal Engineer reporting directly to Head of Vehicle Engineering within ADL responsible for development of the latest generation products, with a secondment focused on the delivery of 280 x Enviro400 ER Hybrid units into NTA in Republic of Ireland for 12 months during Covid 19 period. Working to and developing the NTA framework agreement to include updated scope and specification into the next released framework agreement.Since then my PPE role has been focused on next generation products, covering a remit of double deck and single deck platforms for UK and International markets. Detailed understanding of whole vehicle design, and major driveline systems. The job role includes direct reports of engineering resource and budget control for engineering functions including chassis and driveline, new body systems and HVAC. Projects supported include technical authority on the development of ADL latest generation 100% zero emission products including Hydrogen fuel cell Enviro400, and battery electric vehicle drivelines on both JV projects with BYD and ADL’s own chassis driveline platform using the latest efficient driveline, battery and HVAC system integration. Development of business wide product design briefs, project planning input covering all engineering, test & development and homologation processes. Leading to production of Scope of Work estimation and overall budgets relating to the scope of work. This has included working with major system providers, charging and refuelling infrastructure providers, along with energy providers. Development of TCO models to support customers making informed choices about the most appropriate solutions for the duty cycle intended.
