I pitch, produce and report long-form stories for Australia’s longest running international current affairs TV program, SBS Dateline. For each foreign deployment, I lead a mid-size team consisting of camera operators, researchers, producers, fixers, translators and graphic designers to create an in-depth 30-minute documentary. This covers all matters creative, editorial and production. I also liaise with legal council and senior management during the story process. Each story takes around 2-3 months from conception to broadcast. During this process I apply deep research and investigation skills and rely on a global contact list. This is achieved in accordance with a high pressure, deadline driven production schedule. More recently I have been shortlisted for a conflict reporting award at the prestigious Association of International Broadcasting for my coverage of the Israel-Hezbollah war.
