As Range Manager I am responsible for the Maintenance Strategy and approach for a particular range of operational equipment within the Inlet Process. I have direct influence of optimising and maintaining a range of assets, minimising whole life costs (energy, breakdowns and interventions) yet maximising life, helping define the future procurement approach adopted for the replacement of those assets and in keeping up to date with the latest technological developments within the water industry and wider in relation to those assets. The Equipment Range Manager has direct influence over the critical costs of maintaining the asset base and the unit cost of assets and components replacement.I oversee Impact assessment of Maintenance strategy on cost & resources.Publish the operating and maintenance policies for Maintenance governance board approval.Advise on decisions to insource or outsource maintenance / repair.Owner of:Equipment Operating Manuals and operator checks / first line maintenance and point of hand over to FSE/Contractor support.Schedule of intervention servicing\'s.Equipment Maintenance Procedures and Manuals, strip out and rebuild, fault diagnosis.Spares Catalogues.Equipment specific training syllabi, over and above trade core competency for operators and engineers.OEM Post Design Services, such as failure forensics, fleet modification or upgrade.As Range Manager I am also responsible for Asset Criticality Defining the criticality assessment methodology for equipment and providing a comprehensive Spares strategy minimising downtime.The Range Manager is recognised as the critical point of contact regards operational maintenance – engineering/maintenance operations and the supply chain communities
