ABOUT DARREN HOADLEY

I am a hardworking, conscientious individual. I started my professional career within the motor trade as an apprentice with BMW in July 1996. I progressed to Senior Technician in June 2007. In 2010 I decided to pursue an exciting new professional career within the Wind Industry with Siemens Wind Power as a Trainee Offshore Wind Turbine Service Technician. Whilst Sheringham Shoal Wind Farm was under construction I trained at the Lynn & Inner Dowsing Wind Farm achieving Level 7 Service Technician status. In 2011 I then moved across to join the wind turbine construction team for Siemens Projects starting as a Siemens TT (Tower Technician) progressing to Siemens CT-I (Competent Technician - Installation) Technician and then Siemens FO-I Installation Foreman installing 3.6 MW Offshore Wind Turbines. I have been involved in the construction of the many 3.6MW/6.0MW/7.0MW wind turbines across the UK and Europe. Currently I am strongly involved with the Special Equipment/LEAN/Tower Lead side of the construction of Siemens Gamesa D6/D7/D8 platforms. As a Turner tool Instructor (CAP R) i have been involved in leading the team on the tower in the installation, teaching/assessing individuals to become CTI, plus how to use, remove and troubleshoot the HSBM system (Horizontal Single Blade Mounting). I was a Tower Guide System (TGS) Instructor (CAP) who is also responsible for lifting and landing the Tower of the turbine on the TP remotely using a state-of-the-art camera /bumper system. Again in a teaching/troubleshooting role. I was also a Georgia Blade Yoke operator, a lifting yoke for 3.6MW turbines. Currently I am a Pre Assembly Forman, Having Completed the Hornsea 1 Project I await my next Project
