ABOUT DARREN GRIMES
I am a Tax Partner at Langtons providing tax advice to both companies and individuals.Half of my career has been spent working for Big 4 accountancy firms, working with some of the largest family-owned businesses in the North West. The other half has been spent working in industry and for independent firms on a wide range of tax and commercial issues.I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. I am also an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. In 2016, I completed the ICAEW\'s Developing Leadership in Practice (DLiP) programme. I joined Langtons in 2019 and have previously worked in both industry and practice, I understand the challenges that businesses face and can provide commercial solutions that work in the real world.Projects and specialisms that I have led include- R&D tax reliefs- Investment reliefs (EIS, SEIS, and Social Investment Tax Relief)- Employee share schemes e.g. Enterprise Management Incentives- Company and group restructuring
