I have over 40 years of Piping Engineering - Pipe Stress and Support experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining and LNG business. I have lead and executed projects varying in size from small revamp projects to a multi-billion dollar projects. EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS• Global Committee Chairman for the development of corporate pipe support standards for all Onshore and Offshore projects. •Lead office design coordinator for multi office project execution around the world. Responsible for overseeing the piping layout and stress analysis performed by the support offices. • Expertise on standard, engineered and special pipe supports. SME for cryogenic pipe supports.• Modularization lead for piping transportation including the development of temporary pipe support transportation standards. Coordinated with the modularization team and the engineering disciplines to ensure that all deliverables to support the modularization schedule were delivered on time. • Prepared and facilitated a “Pipe Stress Engineering” training for the piping department to provide knowledge to better assist with their piping design layouts to insure adequate flexibility from the start.• Piping stress analysis of critical piping systems including high temperature/pressure, cryogenic and systems connected to critical mechanical equipment using Caesar II. •Material manager responsible for the inquiry, requisition and purchase for pipe supports and specialty items such as flexible hoses, metallic and non-metallic expansion joints, etc.• Budget staffing, progress tracking and reporting activities to both department and project management.• Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API and NEMA codes. •Liaison between other engineering disciplines to ensure that all information required from piping engineering is being delivered in a timely manner support the issue of key drawings/documents. One of the most notable is providing piping loads to Civil Structural for the design of their foundation and structures.• Broad knowledge in the application and design of metallic and non-metallic expansion joints.•Support pipe fabrication and construction activities.• Field engineer responsible for supporting construction for piping and pipe stress/support issues. Responsible for walking down stress critical piping systems to ensure that all supports have been installed per the IFC piping documents.
